pyEDFlib is a python library to read/write EDF+/BDF+ files based on EDFlib. EDF means European Data Format and was first published by Kemp in 1992. In 2003, an improved version of the file protocol named EDF+ has been published, also by Kemp. The EDF/EDF+ format saves all data in the 16 bit format. A version which saves all data in the 24 bit format was introduces by the company BioSemi.
