A tvtwm with pie (circular) menus
This is piewm, a tvtwm with "pie" (i.e., round) menus. You can change
"f.menu" and "menu" in your .tvtwmrc into "f.piemenu" "piemenu" in
.piewmrc and you will suddenly seeing lovely round menus.
It also has virtual desktops that you can "pull" things out, i.e.,
move the mouse into the virtual desktop window, grab a window with the
middle button, and move the mouse out, and then the window will appear
in the current screen. This feature is exactly the same as tvtwm.

(1) Add new variable, XFREE86_VERSION, to specify which version of
XFree86 (3 or 4) to depend to when USE_XLIB is set.
XFREE86_VERSION defaults to 3 for now, but adventurous users can
override it in /etc/make.conf. When XFREE86_VERSION=3, USE_XLIB
will add a dependency to x11/XFree86; when it is set to 4, the
dependency will be to x11/XFree86-4-libraries. When
XFREE86_VERSION=4, the PKG_IGNORE_DEPENDS and ALWAYS_BUILD_DEPENDS
hacks to avoid messing with XFree86 are turned off.
Since XFree86 version 4 includes some software that used to be
separate ports, when XFREE86_VERSION=3 the following variables are
provided:
USE_DGS LIB_DEPENDS on x11/dgs
USE_FREETYPE LIB_DEPENDS on print/freetype
USE_MESA LIB_DEPENDS on graphics/Mesa3
USE_XPM LIB_DEPENDS on graphics/xpm
When XFREE86_VERSION=4, these variables have no effect. The
LIB_DEPENDS in the tree for the above four ports have all been
converted to the USE_* counterparts. For your information, this
is the count of the number of ports:
USE_DGS 0
USE_FREETYPE 16
USE_MESA 36
USE_XPM 236
There is a new variable, XAWVER, which is set to 6 when
XFREE86_VERSION=3 and 7 when XFREE86_VERSION=4. This is also
passed to PLIST_SUB so ports that build Xaw based shared libraries
can use this variable to substitute the shlib version number.
There is also a provision of using a separate mtree file for
XFREE86_VERSION=4, but that part is not enabled yet.

Move manpages to the Makefile and use MAN* macros.
v. 1.14
date: 1998/09/17 00:32:58; author: asami; state: Exp; lines: +2 -2
Roll back libXpm major to 4. Sorry, it wasn't a good idea to bump it
in the first place.
v. 1.13
date: 1998/09/15 11:13:36; author: asami; state: Exp; lines: +2 -2
libXpm major is now 5. Also remove regexp support in preparation for
ELF conversion.
v. 1.12
date: 1998/08/07 23:01:40; author: asami; state: Exp; lines: +2 -2
Move "afterstep-devel afterstep amiwm blackbox ctwm enlightenment fvwm
fvwm2 fvwm95 gwm icewm lwm mlvwm olvwm piewm qvwm tvtwm windowmaker
wm2 wmx" from x11 to x11-wm.
v. 1.11
date: 1997/12/25 22:29:50; author: asami; state: Exp; lines: +2 -2
Be more selective about which ports to maintain. I no longer have time
to maintain all these ports I once committed (sometimes as a proxy).
v. 1.10
date: 1996/11/18 11:43:26; author: asami; state: Exp; lines: +2 -2
Use MAN? macros. CATEGORIES+= -> CATEGORIES.
v. 1.9
date: 1995/04/12 20:31:20; author: asami; state: Exp; lines: +9 -6
And now the rest of the x11 ports Makefiles.
v. 1.8
date: 1995/04/01 12:51:03; author: jkh; state: Exp; lines: +2 -1
Add CATEGORIES lines to a whole bunch of port Makefiles. Some ports are in
multiple catagories - I'll expect the various MAINTAINERS to make further
adjustments (and add any KEYWORDS lines) themselves.
v. 1.7
date: 1995/03/24 11:11:44; author: asami; state: Exp; lines: +2 -1
Added MAINTAINER= asami@FreeBSD.ORG to the ones I'm taking care of,
and some other minor cleanup.
v. 1.6
date: 1995/02/11 13:51:31; author: asami; state: Exp; lines: +2 -2
Converted Makefiles as much as I could.
(1) Took out INSTALL_MANPAGES (not necessary anymore, porter should
set NO_INSTALL_MANPAGES for not calling "make install.man")
(2) Replaced most of DEPENDS with EXEC_DEPENDS and LIB_DEPENDS. These
are the entries I used:
EXEC_DEPENDS:
unzip:${PORTSDIR}/archivers/unzip
gmake:${PORTSDIR}/devel/gmake
wishx:${PORTSDIR}/lang/tclX
xli:${PORTSDIR}/graphics/xli
gs:${PORTSDIR}/print/ghostscript
gunshar:${PORTSDIR}/archivers/gshar+gunshar
hfs:${PORTSDIR}/utils/hfs
rman:${PORTSDIR}/utils/rman
LIB_DEPENDS:
tiff\\.3\\.:${PORTSDIR}/graphics/tiff
jpeg\\.5\\.:${PORTSDIR}/graphics/jpeg
Xpm\\.4\\.:${PORTSDIR}/graphics/xpm
tcl\\.7\\.:${PORTSDIR}/lang/tcl
tk\\.3\\.:${PORTSDIR}/x11/tk
xview\\.1\\.:${PORTSDIR}/x11/xview-lib
Xaw3d\\.:${PORTSDIR}/x11/Xaw3d
mpeg\\.1\\.:${PORTSDIR}/graphics/mpeg-lib
xview\\.3\\.:${PORTSDIR}/x11/xview-lib
BLT\\.1\\.:${PORTSDIR}/x11/blt
There are still some dependencies I can't figure out what exactly
is needed. If your port still has DEPENDS in it, please check it out!
v. 1.5
date: 1995/01/13 12:49:18; author: jkh; state: Exp; lines: +2 -2
Adjust DEPENDS to conform to reshuffle.
v. 1.4
date: 1995/01/05 05:54:47; author: asami; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1
Id line should be $Id:$, not $id:$
v. 1.3
date: 1994/12/12 04:30:50; author: gpalmer; state: Exp; lines: +0 -1
With my reversal of the INSTALL_MANPAGES logic in bsd.port.mk, none of
these need to have INSTALL_MANPAGES= yes anymore.
v. 1.2
date: 1994/11/24 21:16:29; author: asami; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1
Oops, forgot to enable "DEPENDS= ${PORTSDIR}/x11/xpm".
v. 1.1
date: 1994/11/24 21:10:09; author: asami; state: Exp;
branches: 1.1.1;
Initial revision
v. 1.1.1.1
date: 1994/11/24 21:10:10; author: asami; state: Exp; lines: +0 -0
piewm, tvtwm with pie (circular) menus, tvtwm is twm with a virtual desktop.
Original by Don Hopkins (hopkins+@cs.cmu.edu) for R5, but still compiles
with R6.
