v. 1.20
date: 2007/10/24 23:36:29; author: marcus; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1
Presenting GNOME 2.20.1 and all related works for FreeBSD. The official
GNOME 2.20 release notes can be found at
http://www.gnome.org/start/2.20/notes/en/ . Beyond that, this update
includes the new GIMP 2.4 (courtesy of ahze).
The GNOME 2.20 update also includes a huge change in the FreeBSD GNOME
hierarchy. We are now using the more standard DATADIR of ${PREFIX}/share
rather than ${PREFIX}/share/gnome. The result is that fewer patches and
hacks are needed to port GNOME components to FreeBSD. This will mean some
user changes may be required, so be sure to read /usr/ports/UPDATING for
more details.
This release and the things we accomplished in it would not have been
possible without mezz's crazy idea to collapse DATADIR, and his persistence
to make it happen successfully. Ahze and pav also deserve thanks for
their work on porting modules and testing the whole ball of wax on
pointyhat (respectively).
The FreeBSD GNOME team would also like to thank our various testers and
contributors:
Yasuda Keisuke
Frank Jahnke
Pawel Worach
Brian Gruber
Franz Klammer
Yuri Pankov
Nick Barkas
Cristian KLEIN
Tony Maher

v. 1.14
date: 2005/11/15 06:50:49; author: ade; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1
Mass-conversion to the USE_AUTOTOOLS New World Order. The code present
in bsd.autotools.mk essentially makes this a no-op given that all the
old variables set a USE_AUTOTOOLS_COMPAT variable, which is parsed in
exactly the same way as USE_AUTOTOOLS itself.
Moreover, USE_AUTOTOOLS has already been extensively tested by the GNOME
team -- all GNOME 2.12.x ports use it.
Preliminary documentation can be found at:
http://people.FreeBSD.org/~ade/autotools.txt
which is in the process of being SGMLized before introduction into the
Porters Handbook.
Light blue touch-paper. Run.

big upgrade.
v. 1.8
date: 2004/04/05 03:30:57; author: marcus; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1
Chase the glib20 update, and bump all affected ports' PORTREVISIONs.
v. 1.7
date: 2004/03/14 06:17:15; author: ade; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1
Whoa there, boy, that's a mighty big commit y'all have there...
Begin autotools sanitization sequence by requiring ports to explicitly
specify which version of {libtool, autoconf, automake} they need, erasing
the concept of a "system default".
For ports-in-waiting:
USE_LIBTOOL=YES -> USE_LIBTOOL_VER=13
USE_AUTOCONF=YES -> USE_AUTOCONF_VER=213
USE_AUTOMAKE=YES -> USE_AUTOMAKE_VER=14
Ports attempting to use the old style system after June 1st 2004 will be
sorely disappointed.
v. 1.6
date: 2004/02/04 05:08:34; author: marcus; state: Exp; lines: +1 -0
Bump PORTREVISION on all ports that depend on gettext to aid with upgrading.
(Part 1)
v. 1.5
date: 2003/12/04 06:30:03; author: bland; state: Exp; lines: +1 -3
Update to 0.6.3
v. 1.4
date: 2003/11/27 09:07:38; author: bland; state: Exp; lines: +0 -0
Forced commit to state that source tarball reroll looks like
fake-recovery (after accidental damage?) from 0.6.2 version.
The only difference between 0.6.2 and current 0.6 sources
is .2 suffix in version number around the code.
Reminded by: portmgr (marcus)
v. 1.3
date: 2003/11/26 09:12:47; author: bland; state: Exp; lines: +1 -0
Source tarball rerolled.

Add gnomephotoprinter 0.6, Gnome Photo Printer is intended for
printing photos in an easy way.
