The problem with temporary file/directory permission, which have been dealt with by patches/patch-a[b-i] seems to have gone away. However, I haven't examined the rest of the code to determine whether security problems with this program have been corrected. (CF: FreeBSD-SA-00:04.)

v. 1.23 date: 2000/02/02 19:41:33; author: kris; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1 (Forced commit) Looking at the changelog for delegate, the particular buffer overflow referenced in the previous commit may have been fixed, but this is one of the most insecure pieces of code you could possibly imagine - I wouldn't be surprised if there are remote buffer overflows in almost every aspect of the code. I don't know that it could be fixed without a total rewrite :-( To quote the original Bugtraq message: "Just don't use it".
v. 1.22 date: 2000/02/02 09:10:15; author: kris; state: Exp; lines: +3 -1 Mark FORBIDDEN due to a remotely-exploitable buffer overflow yielding setuid nobody.
