v. 1.29
date: 2007/10/24 23:35:00; author: marcus; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1
Presenting GNOME 2.20.1 and all related works for FreeBSD. The official
GNOME 2.20 release notes can be found at
http://www.gnome.org/start/2.20/notes/en/ . Beyond that, this update
includes the new GIMP 2.4 (courtesy of ahze).

The GNOME 2.20 update also includes a huge change in the FreeBSD GNOME
hierarchy. We are now using the more standard DATADIR of ${PREFIX}/share
rather than ${PREFIX}/share/gnome. The result is that fewer patches and
hacks are needed to port GNOME components to FreeBSD. This will mean some
user changes may be required, so be sure to read /usr/ports/UPDATING for
more details.

This release and the things we accomplished in it would not have been
possible without mezz's crazy idea to collapse DATADIR, and his persistence
to make it happen successfully. Ahze and pav also deserve thanks for
their work on porting modules and testing the whole ball of wax on
pointyhat (respectively).

The FreeBSD GNOME team would also like to thank our various testers and
contributors:

Yasuda Keisuke
Frank Jahnke
Pawel Worach
Brian Gruber
Franz Klammer
Yuri Pankov
Nick Barkas
Cristian KLEIN
Tony Maher
Scot Hetzel
Martin Matuska (mm)
Benoit Dejean
Martin Wilke (miwi)
(And anyone else I may have missed)

v. 1.21 date: 2005/11/15 06:48:13; author: ade; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1 Mass-conversion to the USE_AUTOTOOLS New World Order. The code present in bsd.autotools.mk essentially makes this a no-op given that all the old variables set a USE_AUTOTOOLS_COMPAT variable, which is parsed in exactly the same way as USE_AUTOTOOLS itself. Moreover, USE_AUTOTOOLS has already been extensively tested by the GNOME team -- all GNOME 2.12.x ports use it. Preliminary documentation can be found at: http://people.FreeBSD.org/~ade/autotools.txt which is in the process of being SGMLized before introduction into the Porters Handbook. Light blue touch-paper. Run.
v. 1.20 date: 2005/11/10 04:41:45; author: tmclaugh; state: Exp; lines: +3 -2 - Add fix for stricter mcs in 1.1.9.x - Include bsd.mono.mk. Approved by: ahze (mentor) Project by: BSD#

Approved by: ahze (mentor)
v. 1.18 date: 2005/07/10 21:46:05; author: mezz; state: Exp; lines: +7 -4 - Update the comment. - Remove the ${BUILD_DEPENDS} in RUN_DEPENDS, because it causes gmake, libtool and few others become as runtime dependency, which they are just need to be in the build dependency. - Correct a typo, gfax.schema -> gfax.schemas. - Fix the installation. - Fix the plist. - Bump the PORTREVISION. BSD# - Project by: http://www.mono-project.com/Mono:FreeBSD

v. 1.15 date: 2005/02/16 21:05:55; author: mezz; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1 BSD# Project is taking the maintainership, as for lang/mono, tmclaugh wants to ask someone first before let BSD# Project to take the maintainership. The reason is that we are lacking on C programming, threads knowledge and etc. BSD# Project: http://forge.novell.com/modules/xfmod/project/?bsd-sharp

v. 1.11 date: 2005/01/09 07:02:23; author: mezz; state: Exp; lines: +2 -0 Fix the build, but still add it as broke because it doesn't run.
