FreeBSD astro : xglobe

Displays a view of the Earth (like xearth) with a rendered photo map

Displays a rendered view of the earth in your root window, similar to
xearth, but instead uses a satellite image map of the earth. You can also
substitute surface maps of other planets if you're feeling cosmic.

xglobe history

v. 1.17
date: 2007/05/19 19:58:02; author: flz; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1
- Welcome X.org 7.2 \o/.
- Set X11BASE to ${LOCALBASE} for recent ${OSVERSION}.
- Bump PORTREVISION for ports intalling files in ${X11BASE}.

v. 1.16 date: 2006/02/21 21:17:05; author: kris; state: Exp; lines: +2 -1 Host distfile locally since the old site doesn't work, and the link on the author's webpage is also broken.
v. 1.15 date: 2006/01/04 20:32:16; author: edwin; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1 xglobe does not show markers When you compile xglobe from ports and start it with xglobe -markers it does not show the markers. PR: ports/82270 Submitted by: Florian Smeets Reviewed by: edwin@FreeBSD.org Approved by: maintainer timeout
v. 1.14 date: 2005/11/25 07:04:57; author: edwin; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1 Due to strangeness, http://www.cs.unc.edu/~scheuerm/xglobe/ does exist, but http://www.cs.unc.edu/~scheuerm/xglobe/xglobe-0.5.tar.gz doesn't. For two years now. Make fenner@ happy and make the port fetchable again. Mastersite gotten from the OpenBSD port. (Also SHA256 it)
v. 1.13 date: 2004/02/04 05:18:23; author: marcus; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1 Bump PORTREVISION on all ports that depend on gettext to aid with upgrading. (Part 2)
v. 1.12 date: 2003/03/07 05:55:30; author: ade; state: Exp; lines: +1 -0 Clear moonlight beckons. Requiem mors pacem pkg-comment, And be calm ports tree. E Nomini Patri, E Fili, E Spiritu Sancti.
v. 1.11 date: 2003/01/25 22:29:55; author: arved; state: Exp; lines: +4 -2 Update WWW. Use qt3 instead of qt1 Fix Build on CURRENT Approved by: kris (maintainer)
v. 1.10 date: 2002/05/05 09:58:08; author: kris; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1 Add back the xglobe port which was unceremoniously removed along with the qt145 port.
v. 1.9 date: 2002/04/19 02:29:29; author: will; state: dead; lines: +1 -1 Say goodbye to Qt 1.x and all of its dependents. The one port I found which probably isn't supposed to be removed is misc/instant-workstation, which had a dependency on audio/xamp (being removed), so I removed that dependency and bumped PORTREVISION. All other ports are real dependents upon Qt 1.x, including KDE 1.x stuff. Code in bsd.kde.mk supporting these ports is also removed or adjusted. Also, some adjustments made to accomodate Qt3/KDE3 ports, which will be committed Real Soon Now (TM), pending repo-copies. This commit made in impending view of Qt3/KDE3 entering ports tree.
v. 1.8 date: 2001/04/03 08:13:53; author: will; state: Exp; lines: +2 -2 Overhaul QT/KDE support: - bsd.port.mk update to use bsd.kde.mk for USE_{QT,KDE}* - Cleanup corresponding ports for bsd.kde.mk update. - Fix bsd.kde.mk: use correct kdelibs dependency, put qt at the bottom, introduce QT_NONSTANDARD variable for nonstandard configure setup. - Update KDE2 to 2.1.1. Two patches included in x11/kdelibs2 to fix the proxy authentication that was broken for 2.1.1. Remove old patches. - Potentially fix kdelibs build for alpha. - Fix qt-designer 2.3.0 build. - Ruby stuff left alone since it looks like black magic to me. Should still work w/ compat shims for older USE_QT[,2] style. Some others were also left alone for the same reason. Reviewed by: portmgr, ports (bsd.kde.mk+bsd.port.mk) Submitted by: David Faure (proxy auth patches) Alex Zepeda (old patches removal)

v. 1.5 date: 1999/08/31 06:40:26; author: mharo; state: Exp; lines: +3 -3 FreeBSD.ORG -> FreeBSD.org Prompted by PR: 13476, 13477 Submitted by: KATO Tsuguru
v. 1.4 date: 1999/08/27 23:12:30; author: cpiazza; state: Exp; lines: +3 -3 Update to version 0.3.1 (me) Use the correct location for images (submitter) PR: 12695 Submitted by: Maxim Sobolev
v. 1.3 date: 1999/08/25 04:22:48; author: obrien; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1 Id->FreeBSD rename try 2. This will make a number of things easier in the future, as well as (finally!) avoiding the Id-smashing problem which has plagued developers for so long. Boy, I'm glad we're not using sup anymore. This update would have been insane otherwise.
v. 1.2 date: 1999/05/01 08:08:45; author: kris; state: Exp; lines: +3 -3 Chase the checksum (trivial readme file changes)
